Monthly Reads
This case study explores the process behind designing a website and magazine for a monthly subscription service that delivers curated books alongside thoughtfully selected goodies. From the initial concept to the final execution, I developed the visual and structural identity of the brand by photographing products, sketching layouts, and carefully building each section of the website from the ground up. The project highlights how research, hands-on creation, and visual storytelling came together to shape a cohesive user experience across both digital and print formats, showcasing the full journey from idea to finished design.
Journey Map
What is a journey map? It basically shows you the thought process and development of the project. How does it start?
Brainstorming
During this assignment I didn’t know there would’ve been a second part to it so while brainstorming for the magazine, I needed to make all of the components I used into a magazine usable piece of work. But to start the website I made a basic black and white wire frame to map out where I wanted all components. I didn’t take the time to create the logo for this project though, as I used an AI logo generator for the sake of focusing on the website for this project.
Sketching
After creating a black and white wireframe, I went to build a fake website in detail through Adobe Illustrator to give myself an idea of color palettes, imagery, and placement of buttons, sections to scroll, etc. for my home page, about, contact, and product page as well as the header and the footer.
Development
The website’s development can be found here!
